My name is Kiana Collado and I am the founder of Bridal Bliss Hair + Makeup. I started this journey at 16 years old when I enrolled into my school's cosmetology program. Then, I had no idea I would be where I am at today. I have worked with countless of the top wedding vendors in NY and have been trained by some of the best. I started as an assistant at Red Door Spa in 2013, where I was able to do fashion week for many years and work alongside phenomenal mentors. I worked on music videos for R&B artist, Miesa and have won contests judged by Instagram influencers Desi Perkins and Chrisspy Makeup. I continue my education by taking classes by top industry professionals such as, Chris Appleton, Makeup by Mario, & Hair and makeup by Steph.
The Wedding Industry
My original plan was to work along a wedding dress designer. I went to college for Marketing and I wanted to work on the fashion side. I have always had a love for weddings since I was a kid. By the time I was 18 I was already a licensed cosmetologist so I just did hair and makeup to pay for college. I ended up falling in love with it and made it my career.
The Wedding Memories
My favorite wedding memory? Thats hard, but I have to say I love doing the client that always puts everyone else before themselves. They dont take time for themselves and always, always just wants "just a little." I surprise them can give them a little more and the reveal is spectacular. They always say, "I never thought I could look like this." They have me crying EVERYTIME!
As a makeup artist I specialize in natural soft glam. As a hairstylist boho is my favorite. But my team and I are verastile and love bringing a brides vision to life.
My team is a mix of talent that has been my mentors, friends, and now family. We have worked together at various salons and now independently for 6+ years. I wouldnt be here today without them.
On my free time I spend it with family. Cheering on my sisters at their sporting events, hanging out with my grandparents, creating a memory with my nieces and nephew. There's nothing more important than family.
