Hi there! We're Duet, and we're thrilled you came to visit our BOLI page!

You may have already seen our name mentioned in the BOLI Facebook group (many of our brides find us on there), but we'd love to tell you a bit more about Duet :)

Duet Photography & Video is a studio based in Westbury that's been around since 2005 (yes, that's a long time!). We're one of the pioneers In Long Island, having filmed weddings on actual film stock back in the day!

While our style has evolved over the many years to offer gorgeous, modern work, the heart of what we do remains the same – documenting the unique, incredible love stories of our couples through creative vision, artistry, and modern technology.

We can't wait to speak with you and hear your story, as well as show you how we can turn your special day into a photographs and films that'll be cherished for generations!

The wedding industry is a special place; there's really not much else like it. Everyone works together to make sure you have the wedding you've always dreamed of, and that's why we love being a part of it!

Each of us artists in the photo & video team at Duet has a unique story of how we've fallen in love with documenting weddings, but we all share one main passion – being part of one of the most important days in our couples' lives, while getting to document each moment through creative artistry and vision. It's the perfect meeting between Story & Art.

We specialize in capturing time and emotions. You spend so much time and energy on each part of your wedding, most of which are gone once the music and dancing ends – the food is eaten, the decor returned, the flowers given to guests. The only thing that you really have left to remember each moment by are your photos and films.

That's why we focus on capturing every part of your day, from the dress to the decor and from the candid fleeting moments to the gorgeous portraits. We're storytellers and documentary artists whose job isn't to take photos and videos, but to capture moments in time so you can relive your wedding again and again.

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: We like to describe our style as the perfect blend of creativity, artistry, and journalism. When there's a story taking place, we put on our journalist hats and document it without interfering or staging. When it's portrait time, we put on our creative artist hats and put together stunning portraits that will leave you speechless.

Q: Have you shot a wedding similar to ours?
A: Having collectively shot thousands of weddings, we've been all over Long Island and the Greater New York area, and shot weddings of all sizes, cultures, traditions, and budgets. Chances are, we've shot a wedding very similar to yours :)

Q: Are you insured?
A: Absolutely. We're insured for the industry standard, so if your venue requires a Certificate of Insurance, we'd be more than happy to provide them with a copy.

Q: Where are your packages and prices?
A: We don't want to be just a number to you, so we'd love to introduce ourselves and get to know you before jumping into pricing. Wedding photography and video is about so much more than getting a great deal (which we offer!) – it's about finding the right team that you connect with, so you feel comfortable enough to be yourself on your wedding day.

When we're not busy out documenting weddings or at the studio editing, we each enjoy pursing personal creative projects, playing tennis, eating new and interesting foods, and getting way too competitive during board games (we're currently addicted to Catan!).
