Hey everyone! My name is Emily, and I love binge watching New Girl, drinking multiple mugs of tea a day, and illustrating beautiful architecture for a living! I know weddings can be super stressful, but I believe the planning stage can be so much fun! Your invitations are the first thing your guests will see of your whole vision, and why not make that completely one of a kind? I do everything I can to make your vision come to life in a way that fits into your budget, and have a ton of fun throughout the process.
The Wedding Industry
I actually never thought I would get into the wedding industry until a friend of a friend asked me if I did custom invitations. I thought "why not?" and I designed my first custom wedding suite for her. After that I was hooked and I created a whole section of my business devoted entirely to custom wedding invitations. I love this part of my business because no two suites are the same, every couple is so unique in what they are looking for, and it allows me to be super creative, which I love!
The Wedding Memories
My favorite wedding memory so far was when I designed a custom suite for one of my best friends in the world. She was getting married at a beautiful Inn in Vermont and she told me that her favorite part of the venue was the alpaca barn on the property. She asked if I could somehow incorporate the alpacas into the venue illustration, and it was so fun to draw! Those alpacas popped up unexpectedly throughout her wedding suite, and all of her guests commented on how unique and whimsical the invitations were.
My particular specialty is custom venue illustration. Architectural drawings are my passion, so bringing a beautiful church or venue (or both!) to life is my favorite thing to do, and what most brides come to me for. While I do classic , simple and modern style invitations as well, my venue illustrations really stand out for brides looking for completely unique details to their wedding.
I started Fox Burrow Designs back in 2017 when I quit my 9-5 corporate design job to travel through Southeast Asia. I started offering travel art prints based on places that I had visited in the world, and that led to a line of travel themed fabrics as well as art prints based on beloved movie locations. All my artwork features iconic buildings and landmarks, which is how illustrating venues for wedding invitations came so naturally to me! In the almost four years of business, I started from nothing and have grown Fox Burrow Designs into a really successful full time job. Being a one woman company has its challenges, but it also helps maintain the quality of everything I do. I would love to spend this next year focused on expanding the wedding side of my business!
1. How much do custom wedding suites cost? When looking at completely custom wedding suites, keep in mind that pricing starts at $1,200. Depending how many invitation suites you need, which design components you are looking for and which printing techniques you prefer, the cost will vary. For reference, most of brides spend between $1,200 and $2,200. 2. How far ahead do I have to book with you before my wedding? I need at least three weeks for final printing, so I would suggest booking with me at least 3 months before your wedding to give plenty of time for design proof rounds. 3. Do we meet to go over designs? I always do a preliminary zoom meeting with clients before they book with me to discuss material, types of designs and techniques so they can decide if I am a good fit for their needs. We can set up a zoom call at any point during the process as well to discuss anything you would like. 4. What is the custom design process like? Once you decide to work together, there is a 50% nonrefundable deposit to reserve your spot and order material. Then I send over your first round of designs. You can make any changes you would like going into round 2. Your design fee includes 3 rounds of proofing. After 3 rounds there is a $50 charge per round going forward. When I am not glued to my computer working, I am traveling the world! I've spent a month in Bali volunteering with sea turtles, backpacked across Southeast Asia, taken a girl's road trip around Iceland, and even lived in Ireland for a while! Traveling is my favorite thing to do because it gives me new inspiration for art prints and fabric to add to my online shop! When I can't travel, you'll find me hiking, at the beach, reading, or binge watching something funny on Netflix.

Fox Burrow Designs: 10/10. Emily is AMAZING! I told her I had no idea what I wanted, and she gave me everything I didn’t know I needed. She was so easy to work with, and when we had to postpone, she changed the dates and information on our invites without question.
Fox Burrow Designs: A+. Emily is the sweetest person to work with - she will truly not stop until she perfects your vision, and her artwork is really stunning. If you are looking to support local business and get that personalized experience - Emily is for you.
Emily is amazing to work with and super understanding with all the changes I had to make. She was quick to respond whenever I contacted her and updated me throughout the whole process. Emily incorporated our Marvel theme perfectly into the invites and I am so happy with how they came out.
