My name is Paola,I am a licensed cosmetologist. Something that I love about my work is the happiness that my work can bring to a client, as well as how happy it makes me, to be part of a day so important.A little about my background is I’m from peru and i've been here almost 19 years now and i found the love of my life and we are nearly 18 years together .I have 3 teenagers at home that i love dearly. I am currently employed at an elementary school and since I'm bilingual. I have the opportunity to work with kids, especially those who just relocated to the U.S. Education wise I went to the institute of cosmetology in 2011 I also attended a makeup school called Brittany Beauty in May of 2018. I'm heavily inspired by others and I constantly strive to learn more and constantly grow my portfolio and client reach.

Cosmetology really interested me in the year 2010 so much that I attended a course at a long island beauty school. I had the most amazing teachers that really pushed me and inspired the perseverance to work hard and show what I'm capable of. In 2018 I went to school for makeup and wanted to learn and gain more experience in that field since many of my clients questioned if I did makeup, and of course my drive to learn really fueled that motivation to attend. Weddings grasped my attention the most due the nature of working one on one and connecting with clients and impacting such a beautiful and treasured day
Company History
2011, I worked at Salon X for 5 years, but after some time I decided to take a different path and work for myself, especially since I would have more control of my hours and what I could do with my clients and of course give me more time with my little ones. Then in the span of a couple years I began to work with 2 separate companies. In that amount of time I learned so much and really grew my profile, portfolio and experience.

Do you do various weddings a day?
No I do not, I like to do one per day so i can devoted my time and work to my full potential and satisfy my client
Does my hair need to be washed beforehand?
Yes, It needs to be cleaned the night before or the same day. It's much easier to work with clean and fresh hair, to achieve the best results.
Personal Hobbies
One of my favorite things to do is dance. I even go to zumba classes that I really enjoy doing. It really relaxes me and helps me keep my mind off stress. Another hobby of mine is cooking for my family and myself. A little fun fact about me is that I secretly love singing, but I'm not exactly the type to sing in public.However going to the gym and doing zumba are my favorite pastimes during the week and something I really look forward to.

Paola did my engagement and wedding hair and makeup. She is attentive, efficient, kind, and understandable. Paola listened to my input and made me look and feel fabulous. The day of my trial was also the day of my engagement photos. She quickly turned my wedding updo into another style for the photos. When I looked in the mirror, I felt beautiful! On the day of my wedding my hair and makeup lasted until midnight. My bridesmaid, flower girl and mother all felt and looked fabulous. I would highly recommend Paola for any event. I know some Brides get a trial before their wedding but all the good things I heard about her , I took the chance, and I was not disappointed my hair and make up came out amazing curls and style set all night. | Paula is phenomenal! She did a beautiful job on the makeup for myself, my mother, mother in law, aunts, and bridesmaids. She is incredibly kind and is very intentional about creating the look you want. My makeup lasted all night and I felt amazing. Paola even stayed a little longer during our getting ready time to help me with my veil. She very kindly helped calm my nerves when the photographer arrived and I was so thankful for her calming presence in that moment. Paola did my hair and makeup along with my daughters and my daughter in laws for my sons wedding. She was so professional, kind, and made everyone look beautiful. Our makeup looked stunning in person and photographed wonderfully. We all got compliments all night. My daughter has very straight hair that never holds a curl but the way Paola did her hair, the curls stayed all night and into the next day. I cannot recommend Paola enough.
