erall photography

Introduction

Hi! I'm Erica, owner and photographer of erall photography and erall boudoir.

I've been photographing for twenty years and just over six years ago, I started to shoot boudoir photos and immediately fell in love. Mostly, I love the reward of watching a client shift from being nervous at the start of our shoot to leaving it feeling empowered and proud. I truly believe women just need more women in their corner telling them how hot they are, and I love being that hype woman for everyone who trusts me with these intimate and cheeky photographs.

My approach to boudoir photography mirrors how I approach editorial work: with intention, thoughtful composition, and stripped of harsh lighting and unrealistic poses. Instead, my focus is on storytelling and the art of suggestion, creating images that are elevated, artistic, and bold.

During my sessions, my goal is to cultivate a supportive, relaxed atmosphere where my clients feel empowered to be themselves. Our time together is collaborative, moving at my client's pace and comfort level while showing as much or as little as they want.

The Wedding Industry

While I shoot boudoir for all kinds of occasions, most of my clients are brides putting together a gift for their partner, something just for the wedding day. I love being part of that little secret. It's such a fun, unique way to be involved in someone's wedding, this quiet moment that happens long before the ceremony but ends up meaning so much on the actual day.

There's something so special about helping a bride feel confident and beautiful, then knowing that confidence gets to live on in a gift her partner will treasure forever. It's a subtle role, but it's one of my favorite parts of being in this industry.

The Wedding Memories

When I gifted my partner his boudoir photos, I had my wedding photographer and content creator deliver him the gift and capture his reaction. It's been fun to relive his genuine reaction via photos and videos long after our wedding. I always suggest my brides to do the same!

Specialization

I approach boudoir differently than what you might consider "traditional." My focus is on storytelling, suggestion, and subtleties. My style is editorial, artistic, and drawn to the details. My photos are filmy, moody, and just the right amount of provacative.

Company History

"erall" is a nickname i've carried for about 20 years (e for erica, rall for my maiden name, rallo). It's the same name I used when I first picked up a camera back in high school, and while so much has changed since then (including my last name and photography style) I'm far too sentimental to let it go. Being nostalgic and sentimental is probably why I became a photographer in the first place.

FAQs

WILL YOU SHARE MY IMAGES? Your consent is everything. You choose exactly how your images are used, or not used at all. There is never pressure to share. At booking, you’ll select one of four release options:

  • Full release - Permission to share any of your final images.
  • Partial release - You choose exactly which images I can share.
  • Anonymous - I can share photos that don’t reveal your identity.
  • No release - Your images stay completely private.

WHERE WILL WE TAKE PHOTOS?
Sessions take place either in your home or at the studio in Long Beach, Long Island. Digital sessions include your choice of location, while Polaroid sessions are designed as an at-home experience.

At-home sessions use your space to tell your story. The studio offers a sun-drenched, creative backdrop with a slightly more editorial feel. Both options are beautiful; it just depends on the vibe you’re going for.

WHAT DO I WEAR? Don’t overthink it! Wear what you feel comfortable and confident in. You don’t need to buy new things for the shoot (unless you really want to), but you likely already have some staples you can wear—like a black bra and panties, a tank and thong, or your SO’s favorite old band tee.

Personal Hobbies

When I'm not behind the lens, you can find me walking the Long Beach boardwalk, hosting friends and family for dinner, playing with my son, and catching up on much needed sleep.

BOLI Love!

If you are thinking about doing a boudoir shoot, DO IT! I had the most incredible experience with my photographer Erica. She made me feel so calm, comfortable and beautiful. The entire experience felt natural and empowering (and was also a great break from all the wedding planning). This is never something I imagined myself doing, but I am beyond thrilled I did. I cannot wait to give the photos to my soon to be HUSBAND the morning of our wedding!
