After decades in the beauty industry, I’ve had the privilege of being part of so many wedding mornings. And I’ve learned that getting ready isn’t just something that happens before the wedding—it’s part of the wedding.

It’s the music playing while everyone arrives. The coffee and champagne. The mother of the bride watching her daughter have her hair done. The laughter between friends, the quiet moments, the photographs, and that incredible feeling when everything suddenly becomes real.

That’s what inspired Top Floor at Racine.

Located above Racine Salon & Spa in Islip, Top Floor is our private bridal get-ready space—a beautiful, comfortable place where you and the people you love can settle in and enjoy the experience rather than feeling rushed from appointment to appointment.

We created it with everything a bridal party actually needs: professional styling stations, makeup space, a private dressing room and bathroom, a lounge and kitchen, and plenty of room for your photographer and content creator to capture those candid moments you’ll want to remember.

And just downstairs is Racine Salon & Spa, with an experienced team of hair, makeup, skincare and beauty professionals who understand that bridal beauty should still feel like you.

What I love most about Top Floor is that it gives you time together. Come in, get comfortable, put on your playlist, bring your favorite people and make the morning part of your celebration.

We don’t want your wedding morning to feel transactional. We want you to walk through our doors and feel like, “This is our place for the day.”

I began my journey in the wedding industry over 35 years ago while working with Chanel Cosmetics, where I had the opportunity to do makeup for brides and be part of their wedding day. I quickly realized there is something incredibly special about sharing in one of the happiest moments of someone’s life. All these years later, that feeling hasn’t changed. In the beauty industry, we don’t just help people look beautiful—we have the privilege of being part of the memories they’ll carry forever.

Our Racine team specializes in bridal hair and makeup, backed by extensive advanced training and years of experience. From soft, natural, effortless beauty to polished, sophisticated glamour, our artists are skilled at creating a look that feels personal to each bride. Our goal is never to make you look like someone else—it’s to create the most beautiful, confident version of you for one of the most memorable days of your life.

Racine Salon & Spa has been part of the Islip community for more than 30 years, built on a love of beauty, education, and making people feel their very best. Founded by Rachel DeMolfetto, Racine has grown from a salon into a full beauty and wellness destination, supported by a talented team of hair, makeup, skincare, and wellness professionals who continually pursue advanced education.

Our newest chapter, Top Floor, grew naturally from that history. After decades of being part of weddings, we wanted to create something more than bridal hair and makeup—a beautiful, private get-ready experience where brides can gather with the people they love, relax, get dressed, and truly enjoy the hours leading up to “I do.”

As we look to the future, we see Racine and Top Floor continuing to evolve while staying true to what has always defined us: exceptional beauty, genuine relationships, and creating memorable experiences for generations of clients.
