I have always wanted to be involved in the wedding industry in some capacity. Whether it was starting my own wedding planning business, wedding cake business or event design, I knew my calling was in this industry. I absolutely love that I get to play a part in the happiest day of couples lives.
Specialization
Beautifauxl Cakes specializes in designing gorgeous display cakes! A wedding cake is a staple centerpiece, that is displayed next to the bride and groom during the reception. A wedding cake has its own cutting ceremony! HOWEVER, most wedding cakes go un-eaten. Between a huge cocktail hour, a three course dinner and all different options for dessert these days, not many people leave room for cake. So why pay top dollar just to have some photos taken... With a display cake, you get that staple centerpiece and those beautiful cutting photos, but at a fraction of the cost. And with our partnered baker, providing delicious serving cakes (as well as any other baked good you can imagine), you can still have it all!
Company History
I created Beautifauxl Cakes for several reasons. First was my love for decorating, second was my dislike for baking, lol. But most importantly, for the need of an alternative option for couples getting married. Weddings are A LOT, from all the stress of planning to the financial aspects. So I decided to give couples a stress free, budget friendly option for a wedding cake.
FAQs
Q:How do we do the cake cutting?
A: A knife slit will be inconspicuously in the back of the cake. At delivery, the maître d' will be instructed to sneak out a piece of already plated cake (from the serving cake in the kitchen). The couple will "cut" the cake and take their photos, then use the hidden piece of cake to feed eachother.
Q: Do you offer cake tastings?

A: Yes, we have a line of pre-designed rentals.
Q: Can I design my own cake?
A: Yes, custom designs are available!
Personal Hobbies
I love to dance and am actually a certified ballroom dance instructor! I am also an event designer for a tent rental company. I love musicals and wish life was lived in song with the occasional dance number (much to my childrens chagrin, lol). When I'm not working you can find me playing with my kids, practicing floral designs, or binge watching all the period dramas Netflix, HBO, and Prime have to offer!

Working with Lorraine was wonderful and so easy; everything from email communication, to our design meeting and tasting, to payment, to delivery, and finally taste was perfect. Lorraine makes incredible display cakes out of Styrofoam and partners with Park Bake Shop to provide the actual sheet cakes for the wedding. Lorraine was very friendly and enthusiastic, and she was super open to our ideas and made great suggestions based on some of the inspiration photos we showed her. We got to try a few different cakes and decided on half chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling and half vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling, all topped with chocolate fudge. Lorraine did an amazing job with our display cake; it was everything we dreamed it'd be and a stunning work of art. Our guests could not believe it was fake. As for the sheet cake from Park Bake Shop, my wife and I were blown away by how great the cake tasted; it was moist, decadent, and flavorful. Both cakes exceeded our expectations.
Beautifauxl Cakes was the answer to our prayers! We went for a tasting in her studio and had the loveliest afternoon tasting flavors, chatting with Lorraine and checking out her collection of Beautifauxl Cakes. For our big day, we decided to rent a gorgeous FAUX naked cake, along with sheet cakes to serve to our guests. Lorraine also created the cutest custom peg people cake topper for us. The faux cake looked amazing on the day of the wedding - no one knew the cake wasn't real until we shared our secret with a few of our guests!! The sheet cakes were delicious too. We got lots of compliments on how refreshing the flavors were. Highly, highly recommend Beautifauxl Cakes for your faux custom cake!
Lorraine is so talented, professional, and accommodating! Our custom wedding cake and groom's cake were both FABULOUS and exceeded our expectations. The sheet cake and real tier of our groom's cake were so delicious that our guests are still raving about it. The groom's cake looked so believable that my Mom accidentally cut into one of the faux tiers thinking it was real! We also loved our tasting experience! We saved a lot of money using Beautifauxl Cakes (vs. a traditional real wedding cake) and no one could tell that it wasn't real! She even includes a slit in the back of the cake for us to "cut the cake" for pictures :). PERFECTION!! I will definitely be using her services again in the near future.
I cannot put into words how in love I was with my Beautifauxl Cakes cake! After reading reviews and going through their Instagram page I knew I found the right person to make my dark and moody dreams a reality. I went into my appointment with Lorraine with a few pictures from Pinterest and after talking I felt like I could trust her so I gave her full creative control. The cake she made for me defied my expectations and was truly the prettiest part of my wedding. Lorraine is a true artist, I cannot stress this point enough!
