Hi guys!! My name is Shannon. If you haven't guessed by the company name, I'm the owner & lead planner of Events By Shannon. If you are newly engaged and currently in the cloud 9 stage of "OMG, YES I'M ENGAGED, I'M SO FREAKIN' EXCITED!!!" then good for you. Soak it all in and show off that ring as much as you want! Believe me I know the feeling and it truly is the best. However, if you have recently moved from the could 9 stage, to the "OMG, NOW I HAVE TO ACTUALLY PLAN AN ENTIRE WEDDING?!? SEND HELP" stage.... then you are in the right place! I'm here for you girl! Weddings are my thing. My job as your planner is to make the entire process easy and dare I say fun?! I will break it down for you, step by step, so you can actually enjoy the process and avoid that overwhelming feeling that planning a wedding on your own can bring. Ohh the wedding industry... what an amazing place!! Not only do I get to work with amazing and unique couples...I also get to connect with so many inspiring and crazy talented wedding vendors. I love helping match my couples with the perfect vendors for them. Every couple is different. Every vendor is different. Even if two vendors offer super similar services, they are different in personalities and execution. Everyone has different visions and dreams for their wedding. No wedding is ever the same as the next. That is the magic of the wedding industry. All reasons I was sucked in ever since I began!

Weddings!! They are my main thing. I really love planning and coordinating weddings. How could you not love helping couples plan the most special day of their lives? It's really the best job. However, I do also plan some social/corporate events as well to keep things exciting!

Company History

Events By Shannon was officially born in 2017, when I graduated Stony Brook University, Summa Cum Laude, with my BS in Business Management. Since then, it has grown every single year and there is no stopping me anytime soon. This year I got to marry the love of my life which means I got finally plan my very own wedding! Yes, super fun being a planner and planning your own wedding!! Since my wedding day, the love for what I do has sky rocketed. My compassion and understanding for my couples has grown double fold. The fact that I get to do what I do, as a full time job, still blows my mind. I am so thankful for this business and this life!

Personal Hobbies

Things I love to do during my me time?? I like to workout (mostly fun classes, not really a go to the gym girl) It keeps me sane! Clean, clean and clean some more. I am what some might call a neat freak lol I think it's perfectly normal! I love taking walks with my mom! Side note, she is one of my awesome assistants, if you are lucky you'll get to have her work your big day! And of course just doing anything with my husband, the love of my life. He keeps me grounded and helps me not take life so seriously, which I think we all need!

Shannon was the first vendor we booked for our wedding. We had a very non-traditional, do it yourself and bring everything in type wedding which meant we had A LOT to coordinate and figure out. We also were planning from out of state which made it more complicated! The second we were in contact with Shannon we felt better. Shannon did our site visit for us, asked questions I would have never even thought about, kept us organized and was so communicative. She was patient, attentive, helpful and fun as hell - she is truly a professional in this game. We cannot say enough good things about her. BOOK HER!

Simply AMAZING!! I can’t say enough great things about Shannon & her team! We hired Shannon as a month/day of coordinator for our wedding. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Shannon reviewed all our vendor contracts, confirmed arrival times and all details with vendors, and shared a detailed wedding day timeline with us. She provided so much insight and thought of things that I had not, which was so valuable to the month-of planning process. Shannon & her assistant were easy to work with, so friendly, calm, and made us feel at ease! They both are so kind and genuine, it was so nice to have their positive energy around us on our wedding day! There are SO MANY things Shannon took care of that would have put stress on me/bridesmaids/family had we not had her there! As everyone tells you before your wedding, something will go wrong on your wedding day. And of course, a couple of things did go wrong on my wedding day, but luckily we had Shannon who swiftly handled everything with such professionalism, we didn’t have to worry or stress about anything. Shannon and her assistant truly went above and beyond the day of our wedding – from scoping out the best first-look location at the hotel, to tidying up and organizing the bridal suite, to ensuring guest transportation (140+ guests across 4 different hotels) went smoothly, to fixing my hair when pieces started to fall – you name it, Shannon was there to help and execute! We are so grateful we had Shannon as our wedding coordinator – we could not have done it without her! Thank you Shannon!!!
