Everyone has a vision of how they want their wedding day to look. From a simple theme to an all-out extravagant affair – you know what YOU want. And at Fairy Tale Affairs, which opened in 2000, we’re here to make that vision become a reality. I’m Tracey, and my daughter Dezi and I are the creative masterminds that will create the wedding of your dreams. We’re not your typical wedding professionals. In fact, we leave the planning to the venues and wedding planners – what we do is make your fairy tale vision for your wedding day come to life. Save the dates, bespoke invitations, day of stationery, rentals, accessories, favors and centerpieces.... and so much more! Our entertainment services include everything from champagne pourers, dancers, photo booths, seating board builds, illusionists, greeters, cigar rollers, drag shows, to Broadway performers. 

We’re family owned and operated, with over 30 years experience in the wedding industry. When you walk into our beautiful showroom, you immediately become part of our family! We are just as passionate about your big day as you are. Most of our brides come back to us to plan other milestones in their lives like baby showers, christenings and birthday parties, just to name a few.

Working in New York City as an accountant for years I felt uninspired and unfulfilled. There was something missing. I always loved creating and developing ideas. I love the challenge of finding a way to make the impossible… “possible”. So…. the natural path led me to start planning and coordinating weddings. I knew this was my calling. I started with invitations, favors and accessories and coordinating with outside sources to design the decor. Soon, it was thriving. When my oldest daughter joined the company, she took it to another level. She’s a graphic designer – and with her creative talent, we actually have our own production department and control/produce/create all of our designs.

What we love most about designing weddings is when we get to experience and share our bride and groom's excitement as they explain their wedding vision. We truly love being a part of their special day. 

All of our brides are so memorable. A few times, when we were coordinating weddings, the couples would thank us during their speeches. This stands out, because we were just there doing what we do best, but it’s such a great thing to feel like part of the family. “NO” is not in our vocabulary. If it is possible… we will make it happen.

We pride ourselves on being a "one-stop destination" for ALL of your wedding and event needs! We are dream developers. Our specialty is designing one of a kind custom luxury invitations! This is truly our passion. Another of our specialties is Italian confetti – NOT Jordan almonds. These are the imported, authentic Italian confetti that are now covered in chocolate with all different types of flavors such as cappuccino, pistachio, delizia al limone, affogato, etc. We have partnered up with Amore Mio Confetti who has exclusive rights to import this product into the United States. It offers a delicious unique experience for your guests. We probably sell as much Confetti as we do invitations! As this tradition originated in the Italian and Greek cultures, it is a wonderful blessing and tradition that can be enjoyed and appreciated by any nationality. Who doesn’t need a blessing in this day and age?

In August 2000, we started in a small storefront as event planners... which soon after developed to invitations... then favors, then accessories... and the rest is history!  Now we are a full one-stop shopping experience in a beautiful double showroom.

My youngest daughter actually came up with the name Fairy Tale Affairs when she was only 5! We’ve always been into Disney movies – and we still are. When we were trying to think of names, Taylor just blurted out Fairy Tales. And we thought it was perfect! 

Q: Can you do this? A: We always say yes! Q: Can I change my mind or design? A: Yes! We actually encourage it! Q: How much do invitations cost? A: That is a loaded question… as there are so many contributing factors. Such as quantity, paper, weight, type of printing, layering, embellishments, type of mailer… the list goes on. That’s why an in-person meeting is so exciting… the development of your dream invitation is born in this moment. We have a custom in-house design team that is included at no additional cost, for whatever you dream up!

Besides our love of family and creating beautiful things… our other interests differ dramatically between Dezi and I. I love to travel. I actually live part time in Italy, and I go back and forth throughout the year. Dezi loves hiking and nature – pretty much anything outdoors, and she is a huge foodie. She’s an adventurer, full of energy and fun… always on the GO! While I’m more of a city person…I love fashion, culture, the sea, music and taking things day by day.
