We love to service all events but the wedding industry is one of our favorites! As a off premise catering we are always working in new venues and homes all filled with love. Being able to feed families on one of their most memorable days is our pride and joy! All of our food is cooked in house with love. We love having a hand in such an important day and strive to offer the most outstand, delicious service!

The Wedding Memories

My favorite wedding memory is a recent wedding I attended. The couple had been together for 16 years (since the 7th grade!!). During the ceremony the officiant touched how these two grew up together and helped build who they both are today truly uniting as one. Its a love story you don't hear anymore. A true love story!

Our specialization is that we are a full service company that brings the whole experience to you! We supply the delicious mouth watering food, high class and professional staffing, and griller or chefs who cook the food fresh and to perfection on site. Using creativity and an eye for detail we can customize your event, bring the decor and rentals so you wont have to go to multiple vendors. Our "one stop shop" makes it seamless and easy!

Company History

Stephanie Mclaughlin is the founder and CEO of Hostess With The Mostess LLC; catering to all types of personal and corporate events. She started the company in 2012 while attending New York Institute of Technology's undergraduate program for Advertising and Communication Arts. She decided to continue her education after having her son in 2010, to show him the importance for higher education. Stephanie believes her passion for catering and event planning originated from her upbringing. She came from a tremendous half Italian and half Irish family, that has large get togethers on a weekly basis and hosted celebrations annually. At a young age, she understood the importance of getting family, friends and loved ones together. She has brought that same homegrown hospitality and care to her business. Hosting and event planning is in her opinion a rather personal profession where she treats every client like family. She continues to focus on showing her son the importance of entrepeneurialship by expressing her passion in the hospitality industry. She strives to make all events, whether 30 or 300 guests, seem intimate while also maintaining quality time with the guests and host is what her business was founded on.

What made you decide to start your business?
Being a single mother at a young age I decided to open a small staffing and catering business. Throughout the years we have grown and are so proud of where we stand today!

What was a major milestone in your career?
Opening a deli with no former deli experience! As Hostess with the Mostess was rapidly growing I was looking space with a kitchen that could handle the capacity of our growing volume. I found this cute location in south babylon that was a former deli! With some of the basic equipment left behind from the previous owner I decided to take a leap of faith and open the now called "The Delica Sea". She is my pride and joy!

Personal Hobbies

I love spending time with by son! He is my whole life and reason for being an independent, strong business woman. Outside of work I love spending summers in Fire Island, on my jetski or at the beach!

BOLI Love!

 We worked with Hostess with the Mostess for our backyard engagement party and they were amazing. They put up with so many extra demands from my future father in law who did some of the cooking (????) and the staff was so good to me and always stopped to talk to me and help me debrief for a second when I needed it. The bartender was a sweetheart and went out of her way to make sure me and my fiancé always had a drink. I feel so blessed.
