We also offer an on-site tailor so that our customers don't have to run around to make their that their suit or tuxedo fits exactly the way it needs to. We also offer a wide selection of shoes & suiting accessories such as ties, bow-ties & more!

Since the first Karako store opened in 1982 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, we've been dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our customers. Our business is the result of generations of associates focused on helping customers and communities save money and live better. This rich heritage defines who we are and what we do today. We are a family owned and operated business. The first Karako Suits location opened on May of 1982, in the famous Garment District in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This particular store, specializing in leather jackets & men’s suits, quickly gained the strong reputation of being the best deal in town. Saving people money, while providing first-class quality, has been the goal of the Karako Family since opening the doors to our first location over 30 years ago. We now have 12 locations with ten of them being on Long Island.

We had a fantastic experience at Karako. My husband wanted a very specific, tailored fit and they worked closely with him through multiple fittings to get it just right. He purchased two suits and wore one on our wedding day, and his father also got his suit here. The cut, style, and quality were amazing. The staff was kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. I recently rented suites for a wedding and had an absolutely fantastic experience thanks to Jeff, Luis, and Halyna. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. They weren’t just helpful—they were genuinely invested in making sure everyone looked and felt great. They made the entire process seamless, and what really stood out was their attention to comfort—especially when they made sure we had the right shoes that looked sharp and felt good. It's rare to come across a team that combines professionalism with such a warm, caring approach.

SO HAPPY with Karako Suits in Farmingdale, they did such an amazing job! We worked with Richie and he was just wonderful. We probably sat with him for almost 2 hours as he patiently explained every feature and helped us pick each little detail of the suit. And it came out awesome - there's even a bunch of embroidered details like our wedding date, inside jokes, and our names hidden in the suit. If anyone is considering going custom suit route - DO IT!
