I love being in the wedding industry because weddings are full of joy, love, and celebration - and I’ve been there myself. Not long ago, I was a bride, and I remember wishing there had been a service like The Wedding Nanny NYC to help care for children on my own wedding day. I know how stressful it can be for parents who have little ones involved in the celebration, and I wanted to create something truly special to give peace of mind.

One of our favorite weddings was with a client here in New York, where we had the honor of caring for seven of the bride’s nieces and nephews - all of whom were part of the bridal party. What began as a simple request to babysit for one of my longtime nanny families at a sibling’s wedding became the moment everything clicked. I quickly realized that weddings require a very different type of childcare - one that is intentional, highly organized, and thoughtfully planned around the many stages of a wedding day.

As guests and vendors observed how seamlessly the children were cared for, they began approaching me to ask if I offered this as a service. That experience sparked the idea for something truly unique.
Soon after, I began offering wedding childcare services on Instagram. Within just a few months, the response was overwhelming - our social media presence gained momentum, and we were fully booked for the year. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of supporting 34 weddings and working with incredible families who trusted us with their most important day.

Today, after only one year in operations, The Wedding Nanny NYC is a boutique team of five carefully selected nannies. Each member of our team is fully vetted, CPR certified, comes from a teaching or childcare-focused background, and we are fully insured, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and peace of mind for our families.

We intentionally remain small to provide personalized, high-touch care for every event we support.

What ages do you provide care for?
We provide care for children of all ages, from infants to older kids. Our nannies are experienced in handling a variety of needs, including feeding, diaper changes, nap schedules, and engaging activities tailored to different age groups

Do you provide childcare at the wedding venue or a separate space?
We can provide care in whichever setting works best for your event. Whether it’s at the reception, a designated kids' area at the venue, or even a hotel room for younger children needing quiet time, we tailor our services to fit your wedding day plan.

How many nannies do I need for my wedding?
The number of nannies depends on the number and ages of children attending. As a general guideline, we recommend:-

•  1 nanny for every infant (newborn to 12 months)
• 1 nanny for every baby ( 12 to 24 months)
• 1 nanny for every 2 toddlers (ages 2 - 4 years)
• 1 nanny for every 3 pre-school children (4 - 6 years)
• 1 nanny for every 4 children (6 + years)
